This Privacy Policy provides for the informations, Tcredit ("we", "us", or "our") shall collect from any user or visitor ("you", "your", or "user") and to what degree, extent we may use and transfer the information when you register, access or use our Mobile App (Tcredit), Website (, products, and services (collectively, the “Services”). The Service provides users with the opportunity to apply for and be granted small loans subject to the terms and conditions agreed upon by both parties. By visiting and/or using our Service, you are accepting and consenting to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Changes of this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is dated May 1st 2022 We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy at any time without advance notice unless required by law. All changes will be effective upon publication and shall be applicable to all users. Users are adviced to check this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued usage of the Mobile Application, Website or Services after any change of this Privacy Policy shall be deemed as an acceptance by you of the changed Privacy Policy.


The information to which we hold the right to collect a user and or visitor may include but not limited to:

  • Identification Information
    We may collect personal informations from you such as your name, age, telephone number, email address, date of birth, annual income, Bank Verification Number(BVN) or other government-issued ID number. You may also be asked to provide identification information to confirm your identity. We may cross-check your identity with credit agency and/or third parties including your emergency contact.

  • Device Information
    We may collect your device information including your device name, the unique device identifier assigned to that device by phone makers, carriers, or makers of the operating system, language settings, device hardware, and software information, browser, camera, app list which the user installed, memory capacity .
    We may analyze the model, capacity and unique device identifier of the user, in order to identify the uniqueness of the user and protect your data security; and may analyze the user's financial app installation for the understanding of user's recent financial status in order to provide a reasonable credit rating based on our big data model.

  • Short Message Service(SMS) Information
    We will collect your SMS information, but only some financial information will be screened out. Our risk control model needs to analysis user behaviors, such as borrowing behaviors, overdue behaviors and shopping behaviors, which helps us in identifying the various accounts that users are holding and the cash flow patterns, and then our systerm perform a credit risk assessment to provide appropriate services for users to take financial facilities from the regulated financial entities and other service providers available on the platform.

  • Camera information
    The APP uses the camera to take photos of documents required for the financial service assessment process, involving the following two scenarios:
    1. To improve credit rating, customers can choose to submit various photos (such as salary slips, utility bills, driver's license, etc.) to prove that they have the corresponding qualifications (repayment ability, asset status, professional ability). The platform will conduct credit risk and certification model assessment on the materials submitted by the customer to determine whether the customer is eligible for a higher credit limit; the information related to the photos submitted by the customer is only used for credit review;
    2. Biometric verification, when the customer chooses to use the face recognition function, the APP will capture the 3D map of the face and analyze facial expressions. These data will be processed in real time to confirm the customer's identity and ensure that the subject of the selfie is the real user;
    Under any circumstances, the APP will not access the customer's complete album. The platform will encrypt and delete it regularly, so it will not be leaked and will not be shared with third-party platforms; the above scenarios are completed under the premise of user authorization, and the user can choose to give up anytime.

  • Third Party Information
    In order to fulfill your requests for certain Service, we may collect, on your behalf, your account and other personal information from Third Party that you register under your account via their Service.Third Party Platforms may including social networking platforms, such as Facebook, Google and other similar platforms which could assist us to improve your experience with the Service. We may also collect data from Third Parties such as credit bureaus and other financial institutions.

  • Location Information
    We may collect the location information of your device and upload it to our servers in order to ensure the safety of your account, including the GPS, the longitude, latitude, location area, location area code, positioning mode, positioning time, and other position-related information of the user equipment. When you log in to our Application in a different location, we will confirm with you to ensure there is no risk to your account.

  • Cookies
    We may set cookies to track your use of our Application or Website. Cookies are small encrypted files, that a site or its service provider transfers to your device’s hard drive that enables the sites or service provider’s systems to recognize your device and capture and remember certain information. By using our APP, you signify your consent to our use of cookies.


The data which we collect from you and your device may be recorded in our credit scoring system, you hereby agree that we analyse all the information which we collected with our technology. We may evaluate your credit situation in order to offer you a more suitable service. The intellectual property of our credit scoring system shall be retained only by us, and we could authorize our business partners and joint marketing partners to use this credit scoring system.You shall not have claims over any intellectual properties for any contents you upload through the App or the Website, and therefore, all contents you upload shall be used, copied, distributed, stored, by us and we shall be entitled to obtain economic benefit for the use of the contents, including but not limited to using, copying, communicating or in any manner whatsoever obtaining economic benefits from exercising the intellectual property rights.

You understand and acknowledge that we reserve the right to track your location during the provision of the Services, and also in the event that you stop, cease, discontinue to use or avail the Services, through the deletion or uninstallation of the Mobile App or otherwise, till the event that your obligations to pay the outstanding amount to Lender, exist. Deletion, uninstallation, and/or discontinuation of our Services, shall not release you from the responsibility, obligation and liability to repay the outstanding amount owed to us.

We may use your information to complete the service as you required, to check your personal credit status, to verify the safety of your accounts, or to assist with service. We will not sell, rent, lease your personal information to any third party. We may also retain and use your personal information to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and perform our agreements.


We will use our technical measures to protect your personal information against accidental or unlawful destruction, unauthorized disclosure or access and against all other unlawful forms of processing. We shall however not be responsible for data pilferage due to the hacking, virus attacks, etc.

Please keep your account and password confidential, do not share the account and password to others in order to protect your personal information. You also agree to immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your password or account or any other breach of security. In the event that you lose or discloses the aforementioned account and/or equipment, the user shall promptly notify us in order to mitigate any possible damage. Regardless of whether or not we have been notified, the user is solely responsible for any loss or damage caused by mismanagement of the user's information or device.


We may share your personal information as follows:

  • Authorities
    We may share your information with authorized organizations and institutions or the courts mandated under the law to obtain information for the purpose of responding to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, verification of identity, or for prevention, detection, investigation prosecution, and punishment of offence, or where disclosure is necessary for compliance of a legal obligation.

  • Affiliates:
    We may provide your personal information to our affiliates.

  • Business Partners
    We may use certain trusted companies and individuals(“Business Partners”) to help us provide, analyze, and enhance our the Service, we will retain such service from them including but not limited to data storage, maintenance services, database management, credit bureaus, rating agencies, web analytics, payment processing, and improvement of the App’s features. The Business Partners may only have access to your information with our authorization and under obligations similar to those in this Privacy Policy. The Business Partners may be located outside Nigeria.

  • Service Providers and Administrators:
    We shall provide access to your personal information to our authorized administrative(s) for internal business purposes. We may share your Personal Information with the service providers, including Lender. For the purpose of obtaining a loan from a funding lender through our borrowing service, we will provide the lender or credit enhancer with the necessary personal information, including but not limited to device information, identity information, personal credit scoring results, and information related to the borrowing order, as requested by them. The Service Providers and Administrators shall be under confidentiality obligations in order to protect your personal information and/or avoid their unauthorised and unlawful use of your information.

  • Joint Marketing Arrangements:
    We may share your personal information with joint marketing partners including but not limited to other financial platforms, third-party credit platforms, relevant partners on analytics, information search or big data, collecting companies, anti-fraud companies, law firms, etc. The joint marketing partners shall be under confidential obligations in order to protect your personal information and avoid their unauthorised and/or unlawful use of your information.

  • Others
    We will notify you if there are any merger, sale of company shares or assets, acquisition, divestiture, or dissolution of all or a portion of our business which may be in connection with sharing your personal information.
    Notwithstanding anything mentioned hereinabove, we shall not be responsible for the actions or omissions of the service providers, business partners, joint marketing partners, administrators, nor shall we be responsible and/or liable for any additional information you may choose to provide directly to any service provider or any third party.

    Information that we collect may be stored, processed in, and transferred between any of the countries in which we operate, in order to enable us to use the information in accordance with this policy. Any such information transferred to other countries shall be in compliance with the laws of corresponding countries.


If you registered with us and/or you have not pay off all amounts due, including but not limited to the loan amount, interest, late payment interest, service fees, we will retain your personal information. When you do not want to use your account with our App anymore, you may apply for cancellation of your account at any time. Upon cancellation of your account, you could send us written notice requesting us for deleting your personal information. We would delete your information as required by you , however when we delete your information from our server, there could be delay, and the back-up information might still exist after we delete your information.


The user shalll indemnify, and be solely liable for all losses, damages, liabilities and costs (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) (“Losses”) arising from (i) the user infringe, misappropriate or otherwise that violate any third party’s Intellectual Property Rights or privacy or other rights; or (ii) the user’s use, provision, transmission, display of informations that violates any applicable law; and (iii) the user breaches this Privacy Policy.


You agree to release us and our personnel from any claims, liabilities, costs and expenses relating to our services in this engagement except to the extent determined to have resulted from intentional and deliberate misconduct of us or our personnel. You also understand that we shall not be responsible for losses suffered by any third party from our services, and the loss shall fully be the responsibility of the third party. You will also release us and our personnel from any claims, liabilities, costs and expenses relating to our services attributable to any misrepresentations made by you. We will not be liable to you for any consequential or indirect or punitive loss and damage.


The content of our App or Website may refer to other websites owned, controlled or operated by third party ("Third Party Website") and contain links to third party websites. If you visit a Third Party Website, it is important to be aware of the privacy policy of the Third Party Website and we are not responsible for the privacy protection of all Third Party Websites.


We may send you information on products, service or newsletter with email. If you do not want to receive the said information by email, you may unsubscribe these information via the unsubscribe mechanism or writing email to us.
